H&M Join Forces with Marni for Spring 2012

For the past couple of weeks H&M had a tremendous and positive response after its partnership with design powerhouse Versace. It can be arguably said that it was the stores’ most well received collaborations done thus far. Now there is a new alliance brewing on the horizon for spring 2012 with Italian label Marni. If we take a look back at Marni’s past collections you will notice the label’s love for color, collage-like prints and print-on-print combinations. Scheduled to hit stores worldwide on March 8th 2012 you will definitely see a contrast of prints and colors.

Designer Consuelo Castiglioni was quoted as saying “I wanted to create a true Marni wardrobe by revisiting all our favorite pieces in signature fabrics and prints. As always, I love juxtaposing prints and colors, mixing modern tribal with Bauhaus graphic adding sporty utilitarian elements”. If you’re axiously awaiting this collaboration take a peek at the behind the scenes video below released by H&M with a cameo from Style.com’s Tim Blanks.

Today, Kuhlman is continuing to reach for his dreams by launching his clothing line Scott James.  Italian craftsmanship, love of unique fabrics and a keen eye for fashion resulted in a stylish and modern aesthetic for this collection. Balmain Homme for SENSE Magazine

Balmain Homme new lead designer Oliver Rousteing created a very fashionable collection for this 2011 Fall/Winter season. SENSE magazine wasted no time putting together this stylish editorial by using clothing from the design label.  In the midst of a subtle biker influence together with a rock vibe and militaristic styling, SENSE managed to remind us of Balmain’s edgy reputation.

Married to the Mob By Client Magazine

If you’re going to swim with the fishes you might as well do it in style. One of Client Magazine’s editorials for its 5th issue entitled “Married to the Mob” was photographed by Michelle Beatty and styled by Abena Ofei.  Shot in areas where one would expect such shady characters to congregate. Models Joe Flemming, Henry Evans, Stas Svetichny and twins Zac and Jordon Stenmark, donned in fitted single and double-breasted suiting, sunglasses and the reemerging turtleneck put a stamp of approval on this trendy mob motif.

Freemans Sporting Club

Freemans Sporting Club was established to preserve the art of American handmade goods, quality and durability by skilled artisans, tailors and sewers.  The company prides itself on being an American product and believes very firmly on the phrase “Made Local, Buy Local”. Even though FSC maintains such traditional values they certainly took a very risqué approach for their 2011 Fall Lookbook. Artistically provocative would be the best way to describe this presentation by Freemans Sporting Club.  Although you maybe a little distracted by the nudity, which was tastefully done by the way, you cannot deny the craftsmanship of these garments.
