By layering model Clement Chabernaud with pieces such as shirts tied around the waist and scarves gave him a stylishly disheveled look that works. These black and white and overexposed shots taken by photographer Matthew Brookes in addition to Chabernaud’s carefully orchestrated candid posses further set the scene in this urban setting.

VMAN: The Decades Issue

VMAN paid homage to the evolution of men’s style from decades past for its 24th issue. The editorial depicts iconic trends from as far back as the 1930’s to the present giving us a clear understanding of how men’s fashion has been reinvented and progressed each decade. Some of the most memorable moments of men’s fashion were the flawless suiting of the 30’s to the “rebel without a cause” leather wearing era of the 50’s and let’s not forget the floral wearing hipsters of the 70’s, which are all present trends for today’s modern man. Stylist Tom Van Dorpe didn’t skip a beat with the recreation of these eras using garments from some of the industry’s heavy hitters like Ralph Lauren, Louis Vuitton, DSquared and Prada. The man behind the lens was photographer Benjamin Lennox who did a great job capturing these images and resurrecting the true essence of each time period.
