Fine And Dandy Shop

Fine And Dandy.com did an impeccable job creating their vintage styled lookbook for Fall/Winter 2011. Fitted suiting, corduroy blazers and vintage sweaters were used to bring these traditional looks together. Neckerchiefs, Poor boy hats, Sock garters, Tie pins and bars accessories took this lookbook to that period in time when men paid attention to the finer details.

Pierre Balmain Spring Collection

Young and edgy would best describe Pierre Balmain’s 2012 Spring/Summer collection.  In case you haven’t heard or noticed, distressed denim, biker jackets and denim vests are staples that every young man should own in their wardrobe. These pieces are great for layering or stand individually on their own as you can see illustrated by Balmain. Adding a traditional piece such as the double breasted blazer was a clever move giving the collection a classic element.

Ovadia & Sons Fall/Winter Lookbook

Brothers Shimon and Ariel Ovadia decided that for their fall/winter collection they would make clothing that will be relevant to men from all walks of life. “We get asked a lot, ‘who’s your customer?’ and it really could be anyone. We have Fortune 500 guys coming in for made-to-measure, and then we have these young, hip guys coming around. says Shimon during an interview with GQ.  With that being said this lookbook is comprised of tailored suiting made from the finest fabrics. Despite the superior craftsmanship of the clothing, one would think that these garments were made only for the wealthy. However, the illustrations of this presentation portray the exact opposite, reaffirming the vision of Shimon and Ariel. Photographed by Justin Chung along with the artistic direction of Justin Chung brought the brothers’ vision to a reality with this 2011 fall/winter lookbook.

China Rights Magazine Fall/Winter Editorial

Joseph Carle did an amazing job styling model Jinxiag Hou for China Rights Magazine. By boldly combining stripe on stripe, stripes with plaid and polka dots with stripes, Carle visually brought together these taboo mixes to create sharp and refined looks. Photographed in black and white Yin Chao revealed the sophistication and elegance of these high end garments, revealing every little detail used from prints to patterns.  This truly is a talented collaboration from stylist, photographer and model to produce a distinguished editorial.

Supplementaire Magazine Editorial “NY STATE OF MIND”

Recently we celebrated the 10th anniversary of 911, one of the most horrific events in the world’s history. Even though the city of New York was brought to its knees from these inhumane attacks resulting in the lives of thousands, today, it stands even taller than before. This city has resilience unlike no other and its patrons an unbreakable spirit reaffirming the saying “If you can make it here you can make it anywhere”. Supplementaire did an editorial spread entitled “NY State of Mind” photographed by Forte & Zachary and styled by Torian Lewin, capturing the true essence of NYC’s tough exterior known as the “Concrete Jungle”. Model Cole Mohr donned clothing from designer labels such as John Varvatos, Galliano and Levis creating an edgy presentation filled with NYC attitude and swagger. Using the American flag as an accessory in certain shots was genius on Lewin’s part to further display New Yorkers’ patriotism and love for their city and country.

Sunshine Days

In this video designer Michael Bastian talks about his inspiration behind the Gant 2012 Spring/Summer line during New York Fashion Week. The title of this collection is “Sunshine Days” instigated by the beautiful island of Hawaii which ironically reminded Bastian of that 70’s show (no pun intended) “The Brady Bunch”.  I guess Bastian has a point if we reflect on those multicolored floral print garments worn by the Brandy family. Bright, vibrant colors were used making the designs youthful all awhile staying true to Gant’s “All American” reputation.
