Martyn Bal

Designer Martyn Bal has a very impressive resume which started as a teen apprentice to Belgian designer Dirk Bikkembergs who is known to mix glamour and casual cool. Bal graduated with a MA at London’s Royal College of Art, which led to him working at Dior Homme. He went on to design collections for Versace and then later directed the men’s studio for Burberry Prorsum.  With these qualifications and rich work history on his side resonates through his 2010 F/W collection. The tailoring and cut of these garments are reminiscent of his Dior, Versace and Burberry background. Along with the combination of pieces, each look embodies the mixture of high fashion and casual cool from being Bikkembergs’ apprentice.  Martyn Bal’s is a great high fashion designer and his work definitely speaks for itself in this F/W collection.
