H&M Goes Couture

A reoccurring trend that most high fashion designers have been taking part in more frequently is collaborating with moderately price brands and stores. Isaac Mizrahi started this trend by joining forces with Target, selling his lower end ready to wear collection in these stores across America. On September 2nd 2010 H&M announced that Lanvin will be the guest designer for its Fall/Winter 2010 collection. In the past H&M has paired up with designers like Jimmy Choo and Karl Lagerfeld for its collections giving admirers the opportunity to afford these pieces. Lanvin who is known for its couture collection teamed up with H&M to design a line which will be available in over 200 stores worldwide on November 20th 2010. It seems like this was a match made in heaven, the collection embodies both Lanvin’s couture aesthetic and H&M signature style. Great looking bowties/neckties, suits and tuxedo shirts are some of the staples for this collection.
